Notice for shipping avian samples to AHL

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has designated a primary control zone for a premises in the Guelph area with an outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza.

Therefore, a permit is required to ship poultry samples or carcasses to AHL.

A CFIA general control permit is available here.

A copy of the prefilled permit with AHL details is available here.

Please complete the permit, request a 3 month movement period, and forward to the CFIA email listed for approval and signature.

Once you receive your approved permit, please attach to each AHL submission – either hard copy with your courier package, or electronically to specroom@uoguelph.ca.

This must continue until the control zone is revoked by CFIA.
