National Truth and Reconciliation Day - Monday September 30th
To our valued clients –
National Truth and Reconciliation Day is on Monday September 30 – the AHL is open on September 30. We will be observing this important day as part of our work day.
Please note that Purolator, FedEx and UPS will be closed in observance of the day and will not be delivering nor picking up shipments.
AHL recommends shipping after Monday September 30 to avoid any unwanted delays at courier depots over the weekend.

Labour Day Holiday Weekend - Monday September 2nd
To our valued clients – as we approach the end of summer and the next Stat Holiday, we want all to be aware of AHL’s status on the September Labour Day Holiday weekend. AHL Guelph will be open Monday September 2nd 9AM -5PM for drop off of submissions only (STAT Holiday - no testing performed). Sample drop-off in vestibule is available 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. AHL Kemptville will have drop off available but is closed. Emergency PMs are available in Guelph but you must call ahead and confirm.
Roadwork at AHL Guelph - July 24-26th
There is road work currently ongoing around the AHL building.
The AHL is open for business, however if you are dropping off postmortems or samples please expect delays and detours to get to AHL.
You may need to detour in front of the OVC Large Animal Hospital to get to AHL. The road work is expected to occur from July 24-26th.

Civic Holiday-August 5, 2024
To our valued clients –
As we approach mid-summer and the next statutory holiday, we want all to be aware of AHL’s hours on the August Civic Holiday weekend.
Regular AHL Guelph limited Saturday service (Clinical Pathology and Bacteriology) and drop off Sunday service will be available August 3 and 4. The AHL Guelph vestibule remains open every day as usual from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. for submission drop off.
Animal Health Laboratory Kemptville - Phone outage July 4 & 5, 2024
Animal Health Lab Kemptville is OPEN but the lab is experiencing a phone network outage on July 4th to July 5th, 2024. Our email and accessioning system is however online as normal. To contact the lab about any information or to notify us of any incoming cases please address any inquiries to ahlkempt@uoguelph.ca. As we approach summer and the next statutory holiday, we want all to be aware of AHL’s hours of operation for Canada Day.
AHL Guelph will be open Saturday June 29 and Sunday June 30 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for drop off of submissions. Labs will be open with limited Saturday service (Clinical Pathology and Bacteriology). Emergency postmortems are available in Guelph but please call ahead and confirm.
The AHL Guelph vestibule remains open every day as usual from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. for submission drop off.
