The AHL Kemptville phones are back online.

To all clients in Eastern Ontario,

Animal Health Lab Kemptville is OPEN but the lab is experiencing a phone network outage on May 8, 2024. Our email and accessioning system is however online as normal. To contact the lab about any information or to notify us of any incoming cases please address any inquiries to ahlkempt@uoguelph.ca.

May 1 is the beginning of AHL's new fiscal year. Submissions logged on or after May 1 will reflect to new pricing. Current clients should have received a hard copy of the 2024 AHL Fees schedule / User guide in the mail, if not please contact ahladmin@uoguelph.ca to request.  Our online fee schedule is always up to date and available. A unique username and password is required to login to the AHL website. Registered veterinarians, technicians and researchers are welcome to register here.

The University of Guelph annual electrical shutdown will occur on Sunday April 28th.  The AHL postmortem room will not be open for necropsies, but will be available to accept carcasses. If you have any questions please contact Dr. Tim Pasma 519-824-4120 ext. 54611

The AHL Guelph postmortem hoist has been repaired. Large animal postmortem service is fully restored.

At this time the Animal Health Laboratory is unable to accept large animal carcasses for postmortem services. The hoist in our postmortem bay is out of service, and we do not have an ETA on repairs. 

We ask that you contact the AHL in advance if you are in need of postmortem services for any large animals so that staff can determine if we are able to receive at that time.

We will keep you posted on the availability of large animal postmortem services.
