The Master of Arts in Latin American and Caribbean Studies (LACS) develops critical thinking, leadership, and bilingual communication skills. The Master of Arts in European Studies offers a blend of humanities and social sciences, focusing on European languages, culture, and society. The Master of Arts in Crossways in Cultural Narratives explores Comparative Literature, Media Studies, and Anthropology to prepare students for international careers. The Master of Arts in French Studies features a unique experiential internship, connecting students to French-speaking organizations in Canada and abroad.

LACS prepares students for a variety of jobs that require communication and interpersonal skills with an international perspective, critical and creative thinking, research and time management, leadership, teaching competence, and the ability to communicate in both English and Spanish.

The Department of French Studies at the University of Guelph stands out for the quality and originality of its Master’s program. The experiential internship is one of a kind, allowing students to apply their theoretical knowledge as part of their training. This internship consists of a series of volunteer activities in Canada and abroad within organizations whose working language is French.
