Max Mancuso
My name is Max Mancuso and I’m entering the first year of my M.A. in the European Studies Program through the School of Languages and Literatures at the University of Guelph. I finished my B.A. at the University of Guelph this past Spring, completing a double major in European Studies and French Studies. I hope to expand on my undergraduate studies with the amazing faculty at the School of Languages and Literatures. My research interests lie in the migrant experience to Europe, particularly as it relates to the auto-fiction genre of literature in post-colonial Europe. I’m excited to apply what I learned during my four years of undergraduate studies, I’ll be using my command of Italian and French to read works related to my research in their native languages. Upon completing my M.A., I hope to attend law school abroad, before returning home to work for a non-profit. Working with marginalized and at-risk communities has reinforced my desire to continue furthering my education and, hopefully, effect meaningful change at a community and academic level.
