Worod Karaman
I’m Worod Karaman, an international student from Jordan pursuing a master’s degree in European studies. I completed my bachelor’s degree in Italian and English Languages and Literature at the University of Jordan, where I developed a strong interest in English Literature. My focus is on the historical and political contexts that shape children’s literature.
At Guelph, my research will center on Children’s Literature and Fairy Tales. I am particularly interested in examining the role these stories play in childhood development and how both classic and modern fairy tales influence children’s emotional, social, and cognitive growth.
I’m excited to engage with the community through various events and activities. I look forward to meeting fellow students and faculty, exchanging ideas, and collaborating on research projects. Being part of such a diverse and dynamic academic environment is a privilege, and I can’t wait for the opportunities for growth and learning that lie ahead.
