3MT® is a university-wide competition for graduate students in which participants present their research, creative activity, and its wider impact in 3 minutes or less to a panel of non-specialist judges. The challenge is to present complex research in an engaging, accessible and compelling way, using only one slide.

In recognition of International Women's Day, U of G's GenEQ advisory group invites all U of G faculty, staff and students to explore the theme of Gender Equality today for a Sustainable Tomorrow.

Join Dr. Sina Fazelpour, the Assistant Professor of Philosophy and Computer Science at Northeastern University in discussing the diversity in sociotechnical machine learning systems. 

Go CODE Girl is for grades 7-12. Go CODE Girl will educate, inspire, and equip girls with the digital skills, confidence, and resources needed to pursue an education in technology, computing, and engineering. The Guelph Women in Computer Science undergrads have designed and will be running the online activities in small groups (divided by age and experience).  It will not only be an opportunity to learn more about computer science but a chance to engage with enthusiastic undergrads currently studying in this field. No previous programming experience is necessary.

Join Tameera Mohamed, Cultural Diversity Advisor, for a workshop exploring the experiences of racialized students in the classroom and how instructors can contribute to improving the experiences of students of colour. In this one-and-a-half-hour session, we will explore strategies instructors can use to prevent and address these harms in the classroom.   This event is open to internal U of G only. Please register using your University of Guelph email.
