Ontario/Rhone-Alpes Exchange/ Summer Language Programs Information Session

The Ontario/Rhone-Alpes (ORA) Student Exchange Program  organizes exchanges between 14 Ontario universities, including the University of Guelph, and 10 universites in the Rhone-Alpes region in France.  Through the ORA exchange program, University of Guelph students can go on exchange for one or two semesters to one of the participating universities in the Rhône-Alpes, France.

BSc(Agriculture) Study Abroad Information Session

We have a wide variety of study abroad options for students in any program of study. Enhance your U of G studies by participating in a Semester Abroad, Exchange program, or Field School program. 

Bachelor of Landscape Architecture Study Abroad Information Session

If you are interested in applying for a study abroad program for the Summer 2017, Fall 2017 and Winter 2018 semesters, you must attend an information session. The session provides information on your study abroad options, academic considerations, financing your study abroad and will help you with your decision making process. Once you've attended a Study Abroad Information Session you will receive access to the online Study Abroad application.   

Migrant Dreams Film Screening

All  welcome to attend the Migrant Dreams Film Screening taking place on September 17, 2016 at 7pm in 102 Rozanski Hall.  Free admission but donations welcome from those who can. Proceeds to be divided between the Kerry Preibisch Memorial Scholarship and the Harvesting Freedam Campaign.

Research in Action: Immigration Series

Political science professor Edward Koning presents a public lecture on “Why Canada and Europe Chose Different Approaches to the Syrian Crisis.” He will discuss the political implications of this crisis and their impact on the ability or willingness of various countries to welcome refugees. Deadline for ORA & OBW Exchange Program Applications

Submit your application to study abroad in France (ORA) / Germany (OBW)! Students must have an intermediate level of French or German to apply for the exchange programs.  Students selected for the programs will receive a scholarship from the Province of Ontario to help with their costs. Students must have a minimum cumulative average of 70% to apply.  

Transferring your Study Abroad Experiences onto your Resume

Studying abroad provides individuals with diverse experiences. These experiences and the knowledge you gain while abroad provides you with many applicable skills for your resume. The Centre for International Programs and Co-op and Career Services have designed this workshop to provide guidance to those individuals who are interested in transferring their study abroad skills and experiences onto their resumes. Ontario-Jiangsu Summer Language Programs Presentation

Dr. David Wood, OJS Provincial Director, will speak about the OJS short-term summer programs. The OJS Program offers the following summer programs.  Selected participants for any of these programs will receive an automatic scholarship of $2000 from the Province of Ontario to help offset the costs of the program (must be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident to get the scholarship).  Students can arrange with their Program Counsellor to get UofG credit for these programs.
