Leading, Managing and Influencing at the University

Leadership is often thought about as a position someone holds or their formal work responsibilities, but it is also about the impact, influence and inspiration that someone has with a group of people.  Management engages those skills, practices and processes that enable quality, efficiency and consistency.  Leadership and management are different but complimentary and very important to an organization’s success.

In this category, there are opportunities for those in leadership positions to develop their leadership and management skills and also for aspiring or personal leaders to build their self-leadership.  The learning opportunities offered will help build capacity in the following areas:

  • Inspiring and engaging others
