Learning & Development Team

The Learning & Development team consists of a small number of dedicated, energetic individuals with a wide range of strengths and competencies. In addition to staff members, Learning & Development draws on a group of distinguished consultants, facilitators and training associates.

Linda Watt, Director, Learning & Development and Consulting Services

Linda Watt, M.A. Human Systems Intervention, is the Linda WattDirector of Learning, Development and Consulting Services with the University of Guelph.  Leveraging her 15 years’ experience as an Independent Consultant providing Strategic Change, Leadership and Organizational Development Services to more than 200  Public and Private Sector organizations in Canada and the U.S., Linda has strived to work collaboratively with colleagues to provide visionary leadership in the establishment of human-centred frameworks, processes and practices for progressive culture change, compassionate and effective leadership practice and enhanced organizational effectiveness at the University of Guelph.  Linda holds an Advanced Certificate in Conflict Management and Mediation from Conrad Grebel School for Peace and Conflict Studies, University of Waterloo, a diploma in Adult Education, is a certified Coach and Facilitator.  Linda is certified in a number of leadership and personal assessments including:  Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI), Leadership Effectiveness Analysis (LEA), Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI), EQ in Action Profile, Team Management Systems (TMS) and Facilitated 360.  Linda has authored articles on leadership, mentorship and coaching and taught university courses with both UofG and University of New Brunswick.  On a personal note, Linda is a certified Wine Sommelier and a Wedding and End of Life Officant!

Jessica Yu, Learning, Development, and Wellness@Work Coordinator

Jessica organizes Learning & Development, Wellness@Work and GREAT at U of G programs and events for staff and faculty across U of G. Jessica holds an M.Sc. in Human Health and Nutritional Sciences from the University of Guelph and a Project Management Certificate from the University of Toronto.

In her free time, she loves hiking, singing at choir, and connecting with the Guelph community.

Oliver Martin, Senior Consultant, Learning & Development and Consulting Services

Oliver collaborates with individuals, teams, communities, and organizations to help them work together better.  He has experience delivering training, mediating disputes, coaching individuals, and facilitating group processes throughout Canada, the Caribbean, and the United States.  Oliver has consulted with several academic institutions across Ontario on team development and conflict resolution challenges.

Oliver holds a Master’s of Arts in Leadership, a Master’s Certificate in Adult Training & Development, and an Advanced Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution.

Olja Zubic, Consultant, Learning & Development and Consulting Services

Olja is passionate about fostering personal and professional skills development and brings diverse experience spanning across both private and public sectors. She has supported individuals, teams, and organizations during times of tremendous change and transition. With an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from McMaster University and a Human Resources Management Graduate Certificate, Olja holds the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation.

She loves to play tennis and recently got into the pickleball craze, enjoys yoga and barre, and spending time with friends and family.
