
University of Guelph researchers have received more than $7.86 million in federal funding to advance studies ranging from antimicrobial resistance and visual distraction to animal behaviour and nuclear physics. This support includes $4.8 million from the Canada Research Chairs program, over $2.9 million in new NSERC funding through Discovery and Subatomic Physics grants, and Research Tools and Instruments grants. An additional $150,000 was awarded through the Canada Foundation for Innovation’s John R. Evans Leaders Fund.
