OVC Summer Leadership & Research Program
The Summer Leadership & Research Program (SLRP) offers BSc, DVM and other summer student researchers at OVC a stimulating slate of events from May to August. The program includes a Round Table series with veterinarians and scientists working in diverse and intriguing areas, field trips to cutting-edge research facilities and the Metro Toronto Zoo, attendance at scientific conferences, and professional development workshops to prepare for conference-style sessions. It is our hope that the program will provide additional relevant activities and exposure for BSc, DVM and other OVC summer research students while complementing primary research/educational activities with individual faculty advisors.
Undergraduate Research Assistantships
The Undergraduate Research Assistantship (URA) program is a competitive program that provides summer research opportunities to undergraduate students with demonstrated financial need.
Undergraduate Student Research Awards (USRA)
Undergraduate Student Research Awards (USRA) are meant to stimulate students' interest in research in the natural sciences and engineering. They are also meant to encourage a student to undertake graduate studies and pursue a research career in these fields. If students would like to gain research experience in an academic setting, these awards can provide them with financial support through their host university.
