It's a start to another day in the field and Guinness is waiting for her turn to have her cephalic catheter placed so that blood samples can be taken throughout the day and glucose reading can be taken following a small meal. The results of this study will be used to fill gaps in basic knowledge regarding the ability of dogs to handle carbohydrates from different sources and could allow for the formulation of low glycemic index diets which may provide long term health benefits to dogs
