This photo was taken while we were participating in data collection for a research project done in conjunction with Yorklands Green Hub and the Community Engaged Scholarship Institute at the University of Guelph. We attended farmers markets over the course of the summer of 2018 distributing surveys to community members in order to establish what types of community events they might want to see and whether they were aware of the community events already being done by the Yorklands Green Hub. This was a great example of applying knowledge from class to a job, and doing work which embraces the University of Guelph motto, which is to improve life.
