3D printing applications in veterinary medicine

This is a 3D printed skull that was created using a patient's CT scan. You can see the large skull tumour, and the custom printed plate that was designed to replace the missing skull piece following surgery. As a veterinary student, it's been very exciting to learn from the Rapid Prototyping of Patient-specific Implants for Dogs (RaPPID) working group and be involved in this groundbreaking clinical research.
