Tiny embryo, huge challenges

The size of a two-week-old cow embryo is as small as 1 millimeter, but it faces one of the most important challenges of its life. This tiny embryo may elongate to a 200-millimeter embryo in the next four days and lead to successful pregnancy, or it may not elongate and lead to embryonic loss. The success of this pregnancy depends on several factors, including genetics, nutrition, and health of cow.
