Sweet as Pink Sugar

Sugar has always been seen as a sweet treat, but it offers so much more. The Agri-Food Engineering Research Lab collaborates with agricultural partners to develop eco-friendly technologies. Developed products such as the pink sugar crystals shown use sugar to stabilize natural dyes, like those from sour cherries. These dyes, prone to quick degradation, can be preserved, potentially expanding product offerings for farmers and work towards agricultural sustainably.
