The first calf to age out of a study investigating heat stress in dairy calves conducted by graduate students Lydia Conrad and Michele Brower. This Holstein heifer calf was born in May of 2024, and was visited three times a week, from birth to weaning. This research aims to identify physiological thresholds for heat stress in dairy calves, and to propose sustainable management strategies to help producers alleviate heat stress.
