Mushrooms can take many different forms and in the case of Ganoderma lucidum they can be either: [1] conk a.k.a. fan shape; or [2] antlers as shown in the image. Despite the different shapes Ganoderma spp. can be, it is easy to identify them from their lacquered mahogany colour. The rings of colour from white to yellow to a glossy dark reddish hue is reminiscent of the streaks of milk in coffee or tea.
