Cultivating Resilience

The image captures harvested fields in the picturesque village of Sking, nestled within the Lungnak Valley of Zanskar, in the Indian Himalayas. In this arid region, agriculture relies on glacier water and snowfall accumulation. However, amidst climate change challenges, farmers in Zanskar grapple with parched winters and repercussions on crop yields. Funded by SSHRC, this project delves into multifaceted challenges confronting farmers, shedding light on their journey to mitigate climate change impacts on livelihoods.
