As a child I was always shy about my interests with insects, always playing with insects but never truly creating my own collection. However, my sheepish curiosity of insects grew and led me to go on an entomology field course to Costa Rica where I stayed at the Soltis Center Research station. Here I spent two weeks in the middle of the rain forest which became the largest insect playground I have ever set foot in. I've hiked, explored and frolic in this vast foreign land, yet stopping every metre or so to look down and stare at the microcosm which each tree, river and rock had.
The picture you see here is my insect collection I have gathered in the two weeks I was there.
To others it may seem like just a bunch of bugs, however, to me, each insect represent a story of hard hike, swims and climbs which lead to a spectacular moments of discovery .
