A bumble bee queen fitted with a radio-tag wakes borrows warmth from the researcher that attached the radio-tag to her back. Bumble bees are cooled down prior to tag attachment which makes them sleepy and move less. They much appreciate a warm finger to help them get moving especially on a chilly early spring day!
