The impacts of climate change are exacerbated in the Arctic, making climate research more important than ever. This photo captures weekly air sampling at the Global Atmospheric Watch Laboratory in Alert, Nunavut. Each sample is analyzed for greenhouse gases such as methane, carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, and ozone.
As a co-op student representing the University of Guelph, this is one of many opportunities to engage and learn about climate research outside the classroom.
