Happy Farmer - Cultivating Yam in Sacks

Cultivation of yam in sacks was a simple innovation technique introduced by the SAK Nepal project (Sustainable Agriculture Kits), which was funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and Global Affairs Canada (GAC) and implemented by the University of Guelph and LI-BIRD in Nepal, under the supervision of Professor Manish N Raizada. Hillside subsistence farmers in Nepal was tremendously benefitted by this simple innovative technique.
