Lamb Snuggles

At the University of Guelph's sheep research station, graduate students are studying the effects of selenium supplementation on ovine reproduction and immune system function. The goal is to determine the optimal concentration and form of this micronutrient needed to best support ewe and lamb health. This photograph illustrates one of the lambs in the research trial that was born to a ewe taking a daily selenium supplement. We must hold the lambs for blood collection, but they are fun to snuggle with too!
