This research applies the One Health approach, emphasizing the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health. In Madagascar, where lemurs, people, and domestic animals share an environment, we investigated conservation challenges through interdisciplinary methods. Engaging with the nonprofit Planet Madagascar, students engaged in a real-world conservation crisis by learning research methodologies and designing projects that assess behaviour, ecology, and conservation practices, gaining skills in field research, teamwork, and cross-cultural communication. This hands-on experience impacts lemur conservation and community development within Madagascars unique environment.
