It’s the picture of Kathryn returning the queen bee to the hive with no fear of worker bees flying around her. Kathryn, a Co-op student and the president of the Apiculture club at the University of Guelph, assisted the Honey Bee Research Centre (HBRC) research team in the fall of 2022. She has done a fantastic job helping us all in the maintenance and inspection of honey bee colonies, queen rearing, and any research. Not many people can really do this job if they do not know how to deal with the fear of bees, so the true queen bee to me is literally Kathryn.
