This beautiful Northern Pearly-eyed butterfly (Enodia anthedon) was found in Algonquin Provincial Park during a research project which aimed to understand the drivers of pollinator succession of logging. While performing sweep net sampling, my fellow researchers and I had the pleasure of watching the slow, but very intentional flight of this butterfly as it headed toward the meadow.
