A Jefferson Salamander (Ambystoma jeffersonianum) captured as part of a mark-recapture project. Found in forests within southern Ontario, Jefferson are endangered primarily due to habitat fragmentation, degradation, and destruction. My M.Sc. research aims to fill key gaps in our understanding of Jefferson population dynamics and habitat use, to better inform conservation and management actions.
