This past summer, I had the opportunity to conduct research at the Ontario Veterinary College Health Sciences Centre in Clinical Studies. The goal of this research is to push the envelope of surgical technique to ultimately provide the best veterinary care possible. Through taking part in many surgeries for prospective studies, I gained an appreciation of the many hardships that surgeons endure in the operating room. This image captures my supervisor suturing her patient’s incision, nearing the end of a long and strenuous procedure.
