A common eastern bumble bee queen fitted with a radio-tracker is ready for take-off in this action shot showing her flying off of a dandelion and on her way to be tracked in our study. Here, we were investigating the role of systemic insecticides on the movement behaviour of bumble bee queens. We track bumble bee movement using radio tags and a large array of radio towers.
