Food and food systems literacy – our knowledge and skills in relation to food and food systems – are very important since health and environmental issues are linked to the foods we eat and the systems that produce them. Educating children and youth about the foods they eat, where they come from, and how to prepare them is increasingly important in complex food environments. The results of this research will inform future food-related education initiatives in schools.
