Looking to learn more about your U of G Guelph campus? Take your break and join our tour guide, Hilary Holmes, U of G Pathways Advisor, for a stroll. Hilary was employed as a U of G campus tour guide from 2012-2015 and has toured hundreds of students and their families. Thanks Hilary for coming out of "tour guide retirement" just for this session! Looking to start a new fitness or wellness journey? Did you know that all staff/faculty on campus have access to a subsidized rate to use the on-campus facilities? Join us on a tour of what programming/services and equipment is available to our staff/faculty members and why the Athletic facilities might just be the best fit for you! Attendees of this tour will receive a free day pass for recreation in the Guelph Gryphons Athletics Centre, including access to the Fitness Centre and / or a fitness class, to use at their convenience!

Enjoy your lunch break and get to know more of the U of G Guelph Campus by attending this tour of the Honey Bee Research Centre: a leader in apiculture, research and education. 

Hands-on Seed Paper Creation Workshop

Learn to make beautiful homemade paper embedded with native wildflower seeds. All materials will be provided in this hands-on workshop that uses recycled items and a simple DIY process. Participants will take home several pieces of handmade seed paper to plant in the garden or in a natural area. Once established, native plants need little care and provide important habitat for threatened pollinators and other wildlife species. Register now!

Trauma, Yoga and Sensory Repair: Exploring the neurobiology of chronic trauma experiences and interception in healing.

Note: Please bring your yoga mat for a brief yoga ​practice before the talk. Meriel aims to ensure trauma-informed safe spaces for all people to experience Yoga On Tuesday, June 7 @ 12:00pm (EDT), a highly respected grassroots activist, facilitator, yoga practitioner, and speaker, Meriel Goss will be speaking about “Trauma, Yoga and Sensory Repair: Exploring the neurobiology of chronic trauma experiences and interoception in healing".

Anxiety: Skills & Strategies

This group program meets once a week for 3 weeks to develop and practice skills in decreasing the uncomfortable sensations of anxiety. A variety of long and short self-calming techniques are introduced, along with behaviours that can help prevent escalation of anxiety.  All techniques in this program have originated from research into strategies which decrease anxiety. They have been well studied and the most up-to-date information will be presented.
