New Publication by Professor Clive Thomson
The title of the new book is: Georges Hérelle: archéologue de l'inversion sexuelle "fin de siècle"
Georges Hérelle is an important figure in the history of homosexuality in France
Clive Thomson's book provides, for the first time, a biography of Georges Hérelle (1848-1935) and transcriptions of documents that Hérelle collected during the course of his long life (letters, diairies, memoirs, etc.). The documents shed light on the intimate lives of Hérelle and his close homosexual friends and thus provide a rare glimpse of what life was like for homosexual men at the end of the nineteenth century.
