Interim CEPS Dean Announcement

Hello everyone,

I am writing to inform you that I have appointed Professor Richard Zytner, School of Engineering as the Interim Dean for the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences effective immediately. As you know, we had an open call for those who were interested in serving the University in this capacity and many candidates put their names forward. I want to thank you all for your strong interest and support for the College. We have great leadership talent within the College and I appreciate everyone's interest in this position.

Dean Tony Vannelli will complete his term as Dean as of December 31, 2016. Professor Zytner and Dean Vannelli will work closely together over the remaining weeks of Dr. Vannelli's term to ensure a smooth transition as the search for the new Dean of CEPS is underway.

I am pleased that Professor Zytner has agreed to take on this appointment. I look forward to working with him as part of the senior leadership team as we continue to work together in fulfilling the University's goals as articulated in the University Strategic framework.
