On Dec 7th, the School of Computer Science (SoCS) honoured their alumni, celebrating the success of three influential graduates. Leadership from CEPS and SoCS, along with fellow alumni, family and friends gathered in the Reynolds Building on campus.

Congratulations to Zarin Tasnim Ahmed on being awarded the International Atomic Energy Agency Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme (MSCFP). The aim of MSCFP is to help increase the number of women in the nuclear field. Award winners receive up to €20,000 for tuition costs and up to €20,000 for living costs for their Master’s programme. MSCFP is a highly competitive global fellowship program, with only 150 awards being issued annually to women masters students.

Dr. Xiaodong Lin's paper, "Blockchain-Based Public Integrity Verification for Cloud Storage against Procrastinating Auditors," was announced as the runner-up for the 2021 Best Paper Award from IEEE Transactions on Cloud Computing, by the IEEE Computer Society Publications Board. IEEE Transactions on Cloud Computing is the leading journal in the cloud computing field. Congratulations Dr. Lin.
Engineering professor Dr. Abdallah Elsayed received the 2022 American Society of Materials International Bronze Medal Award
The College received funding for 13 new research projects spanning four academic units.
