Six CEPS Students Win Awards at the ISESS at U of G
At the International Symposium on Electrochemistry and Surface Science (ISESS) in Honour of Jacek Lipkowski's 80th Birthday, held from August 14th to August 17th at the University of Guelph, six U of G CEPS students won notable awards.
Student Oral Presentation Winners:

Stephen Tatarchuk, graduate student in the Department of Chemistry, won 1st place in Section 1 for a presentation on Insight into Catalyst Activity for the Electrooxidation of Ammonia from Linear Scaling Relations and Microkinetic Modeling.

Joshua van der Zalm, graduate student in the Department of Chemistry, won 2nd place in Section 2 for a presentation on Advancing Material Characterization with Integrated Optical Spectroscopy and Scanning Photoelectrochemical Microscopy.

Negar Sabouhania, graduate student in the Department of Chemistry, won 1st place in Section 3 for a presentation on Synthesis of Bismuth Nanodendrites Catalyst for Electrochemical Carbon Dioxide Reduction.

Cameron McGuire, graduate student in the Department of Physics, won 2nd place in Section 4 for a presentation on Electrochemical and in situ X-ray Absorption Spectroscopic Studies of Hydrogen Uptake at Palladium-Graphene Oxide Nanocomposite.

Carlos Ramirez, graduate student in the Department of Chemistry, won 2nd place for a poster on Graphene-Oxide Based Electrochemical Sensor for the Detection of Temozolomide.

Jonathan Quintal, graduate student in the Department of Chemistry, won 3rd place for a poster on Phase and Morphology Engineering of TiO2 Photocatalysts for Water Splitting.
