PhD Student Wins 1st Prize at CSME/CFD International Congress 2024
Enshen Zhu, PhD student in engineering systems and computing at the University of Guelph, won 1st prize in the Best Student Paper Competition at the Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering (CSME) and the CFD Society of Canada (CFDSC) International Congress 2024.
The annual event is an opportunity for mechanical engineering and computational fluid dynamics students and experts to come together to build community, share research and network with colleagues from industry and government. CSME/CFD2024 was hosted at the University of Toronto from May 26 to 29, and featured around 400 presenters who showcased their research in these areas.
Enshen Zhu, who is completing his doctorate under the supervision of Dr. Sheng Yang, presented his paper “Towards and Automated Human Digital Twin Integration for Spine Motion Analysis”, which addresses an alternative approach - the “digital twin”- to study human spine health for improved accuracy in analyzing possible issues.
Congratulations Enshen!
