When Negativity Strikes: Communicating Despite Negative Behaviour

Negative behaviour can dampen any conversation and can spin a web of negativity around any activity. This session will review some helpful strategies to assist with recognizing some common negative behaviours and how to effectively communicate when negativity is present. Creating and Sharing a Vision- Practical Steps to Inspire and Mobilize Your Team

In this engaging and interactive session, leaders will explore Kouzes and Posner’s practice of “Inspiring a Shared Vision” from The Leadership Challenge. Participants will delve into the art of envisioning an inspiring future and rallying others around a common purpose. Through guided discussions, real-world examples, and hands-on exercises, leaders will learn to clarify values, articulate a compelling vision, and connect their vision to the aspirations of their teams.

DARC Presents: Creating Accessible Documents

This workshop will go through best practices on creating accessible documents in Word, PowerPoint and looking at converting them to accessible PDFs. During the workshop you'll be given files to remediate as you go through the topics and software. Bring your own laptop to the event.
