Happy International Thank You Day! Welcoming in a new year of connection

Dear U of G Faculty and Staff,

We hope you had a wonderful and restful holiday season and would like to wish you a very happy International Thank You Day. The new year often invites reflections. Through the successes and challenges this year brings, GREAT at U of G invites you to take these opportunities to connect with your colleagues. One of the toolkits you may wish to use includes gratitude, recognition, and appreciation, which have been consistently shown to promote wellness in the workplace.

Upcoming Recognition and Appreciation Opportunities

1. Nominate a colleague for the January “G” Thanks! Prize! This January, nominators will win 2 Starbucks tall Espresso drink vouchers. One for you and one to treat a colleague you appreciate.
2. Nominate a colleague for an exemplary staff award  Do you know a person or team who has gone above and beyond to provide outstanding service? Nominate them for an Exemplary Staff Award! Recipients receive $2,000 and are announced at the annual President’s Community Breakfast in September. Nominations close March 1^st.
3. Save the Date for Employee Appreciation Day on Friday, March 1^st!
4. Follow the GREAT at U of G SharePoint Site for gratitude, recognition, and appreciation programs, resources, and inspiration!
