In accordance with the Municipal Elections Act, the Time Off for Voting HR Memo outlines the process to be followed regarding the upcoming election on February 27, 2025.

On November 20, 2024, an ***AMENDED*** memo was issued outlining the dates of the December/January Holiday Closure 2024/2025.

On February 1, 2023, an amended memo was issued to confirm that the University of Guelph will observe the Canada Day holiday on Friday, June 30, 2023.

A Flexible Work Arrangements Policy 520, for Non-Academic Staff, has been adopted to outline the various types of flexible work arrangements employees may request, operational requirements permitting, and the framework within which they are administered.  To view this policy and other HR Policies please visit the HR Policies section of our website.

The previous twelve months have been both difficult and unpredictable for faculty and staff who have been instrumental in the University’s response to the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. To show our gratitude for these ongoing and significant contributions the University leadership team has elected to provide an additional paid day off in conjunction with the July 1, 2021, Canada Day holiday.
