Laboratory Safety
The health, safety and well-being of both the University community and the environment are of utmost importance to the University. Being a research intensive institution with diverse science-based programs, laboratory environments are plentiful throughout the main and satellite campuses. As such laboratory personnel including employees, students and visitors are exposed to potential hazards unique to laboratory settings and hazardous materials each and every day.

Components of the Lab Safety program include the following:
- Laboratory Safety Manual - CURRENT EDITION: 7TH (2022)
- Laboratory Safety Training - Offered online, this training is to be completed by those individuals working in or supervising laboratory activities.
- Laboratory Inspections - Inspections will be completed by an EHS representative on a continuous basis.
- Laboratory Decommissioning Program - NEW (March 2022)
