Wednesday Walks at the Arboretum

Nature is known to be unpredictable and unexpected, so what awaits us today?  Rachel, the Arboretum's Naturalist Intern, leads 1 hour long walks every Wednesday year-round.  Walks start at The Arboretum kiosk at 12:15 p.m.   The hike may be cancelled if there is inclement weather.   Please check the Arboretum's Facebook and Instagram page for a notice if the weekly walk is cancelled due to weather.  For further information contact Sally at scheun06@uoguelph.ca or ext. 52363.

Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) - Day 1

This training is open to any current University of Guelph faculty, staff, or student and is strongly recommended for individuals who have direct responsibilities for assisting those experiencing significant difficulties, or those who work outside of normal business hours who may need to deal with a crisis situation without available professional support. Learn more about what to expect during an ASIST training on the LivingWorks website.

Wellness@Work Book Club Meeting

Join the Wellness@Work Book Club discussion of the "Ready to Come About" book by local author Sue Williams. The author will be joining this discussion, so hear first-hand about her experiences and process in writing the book. Bring any questions you'd like to ask the author! Cinq à Sept Social at Brass Taps

Starting in February, Brass Taps is launching a new staff and faculty Friday social each week called Cinq à Sept.  Every Friday, from 4-8pm employees can go to Brass Taps to socialize and connect.  Free appetizers will be provided by Brass Taps and drink specials will be available.  Bring your colleagues and stop by!   On the last Friday of each month, there will be something fun programmed, in addition to the social time.  Coming up:

Recess League

Do you miss the good old days on the playground? We have the solution for you, Recess League runs weekly with a random sport picked each time inspired by school yard games. Recess League is a great way to have a mental wellness break in the middle of the work or school day! Examples of sports that are played in Recess League are 3-on-3 Basketball, Kickball, Nerf, Ultimate Frisbee, Scooter Dodge-ball, and so many more! There is no previous experience required.
