The Wellness@Work Grant Program encourages faculty and staff across all campuses and research stations at the University of Guelph to help promote wellness in their workplace through the implementation of a tailored health‐promoting program, approach or idea in their workplace. Essential to effective leadership is understanding that conflict is a natural part of working with others; different people have different ideas, values, beliefs and viewpoints. All leaders will inevitably need to deal with a conflict between two or more people.

Tour U of G's Produce Facility & Bake Shop

Join a U of G sous chef and a baker at Creelman Hall for an exclusive tour of the food processing room and the bakeshop. Did you know U of G creates their own smoked roma tomato jam, zucchini relish, apple butter, pickles and more?!  The produce facility provides a hub for chefs to process fresh fruits and vegetables during harvest season to be used in the winter.  The bake shop allows our campus community to enjoy fresh hand-made baked goods with locally grown ingredients, Ontario dairy and fairtrade baking products.  

Helping Your Child Succeed at School

Every parent wants their child to be happy and successful at school. Many working parents struggle with knowing how to support their children with school-related activities. This session invites participants to seek a partnership between each child, the school and themselves as parents. This partnership creates positive structure at home to support their children's experience at school and looks for ways to reward effort rather than outcomes. Facilitator: Homewood Health

Come learn about beautiful and unique spaces on campus that you may never have seen before on this walking tour.  The tour departs at 12:30pm sharp. Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather.

NEW Days- New Employee Welcome

NEW Days are the kick-off to the NEW@the U (New Employee Welcome) program at the University of Guelph. One day at the beginning of 7 months of the year (excludes January, April, July, August and December) has been dedicated to welcoming and connecting our new employees to the University environment and give them a positive start.
