Wellness Friday: Building Resilience- Understanding Challenges, Learning Strategies, and Accepting Change

Research shows that individuals can improve how well they adapt to challenges and adversity. This session will help break negative thought patterns and offer healthier ways of thinking and behaving. Participants will be introduced to a variety of effective, practical tools to improve physical health, respect mental/emotional health, and cultivate a strong social support network. U of G Celebrates Pride with Flag Raising and Events

Women, Work and Wellness: Listening to your Body

Today’s workplace is dynamic, fast paced and demanding for both the mind and the body. This 3-part series will explore the impact of our self-care habits on our day-to-day wellness. The overall goal for the series is to create a warm and engaging space for women to connect with one another to discuss their relationship with their body and their self-care habits. Sessions will examine what self-care looks like for you, your connection to your body signals for hunger, fullness, fatigue and stress, as well as helpful mindfulness strategies and using your strengths for success.

Wednesday Walks at the Arboretum

Nature is known to be unpredictable and unexpected, so what awaits us today?  Rachel, the Arboretum's Naturalist Intern, leads 1 hour long walks every Wednesday year-round.  Walks start at The Arboretum kiosk at 12:15 p.m.   The hike may be cancelled if there is inclement weather.   Please check the Arboretum's Facebook and Instagram page for a notice if the weekly walk is cancelled due to weather.  For further information contact Sally at scheun06@uoguelph.ca or ext. 52363.
