Many of us are caregivers for our elderly parents. The stress experienced by caregivers can have negative consequences on our physical and psychological well-being. This session will provide participants with support and resources to help them take care of their loved ones and, at the same time, sustain a healthy quality of life themselves.

Designed by Living Works, SafeTALK is a 3.5 hours alertness training and certification that prepares anyone, regardless of prior experience or training, to become a suicide-alert helper. This training includes understanding of the importance of suicide alertness, learning to identify ways people invite help, and how to connect those who need help with resources when they are at risk.
Mental health problems are an increasing concern in workplaces. Participants will gain an understanding of two of the most common mental health concerns, anxiety and depression. This session will provide strategies for regulating one’s emotions and tips for supporting others who may be experiencing difficulties.

Learn how to create a “painting” using oil pastels. This fun and versatile medium creates an effect similar to oil paintings, without all the mess or fuss. Students will create a painting inspired by Van Gogh’s famous sunflowers.
Grief in the Workplace will help participants gain a better understanding of how grief shows up at work. We will discuss the facts and myths around grief and will also provide practical tips and techniques on how to support yourself and others in the workplace.
