Learn how to create a “painting” using oil pastels. This fun and versatile medium creates an effect similar to oil paintings, without all the mess or fuss. Students will create a painting inspired by Van Gogh’s famous sunflowers.

Grief in the Workplace will help participants gain a better understanding of how grief shows up at work. We will discuss the facts and myths around grief and will also provide practical tips and techniques on how to support yourself and others in the workplace. From this session you will:

With 1 in 5 students at U of G experiencing food insecurity, you can do your part to help end student food insecurity by visiting Wellness@Work on October 31st in the UC Courtyard between 10:30am and 3:30pm to donate a non-perishable item. All donations will go to the Guelph Student Food Bank to support our own U of G students. 

Mindfulness helps to decrease stress, increase resilience, improve personal productivity, develop connections with others, and augment the ability to experience more joy and peace. This webinar will focus on understanding mindfulness and will assist participants in practicing techniques that can be implemented into everyday life at work and at home. Facilitator: Homewood Health Register through qualtrics

Funded by DHR's Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion Enhancement fund, Wellness@Work is coordinating a three-part mental health speaker series focusing on mental health and the intersectionality of social identities. With the launch of our speaker series on Oct 26th, our first topic will be related to 2SLGBTQIA+ identity and mental health in the workplace.
