Movement Mondays with Athletics

Join Athletics from 12-12:30 for a movement break! Light, low impact movement and stretches will show you the benefits of daily movement from your office/home or wherever you are! The 30 minute session will also give tips for adding movement and the benefits of quick movement breaks. Take your Lunch Break: Virtual Baking Session

Wellness@Work invites you to a Virtual Bake Along via Teams. If registering 24 hours or less before this session, please email sjoosse@uoguelph.ca to receive the meeting invitation. Scott Schau has prepared a delicious Adaptable Cookie Base cookie recipe that can be turned into any type of cookie you want based on what you add to it.  Feel free to bake-along with us as a group or use the recipe at your leisure.

Mood Moves

The Wellness Education Centre is hosting virtual Mood Moves every Wednesday for students and employees. Join us for a quick stretching and movement session at your own comfort level! Our group will meet online for a quick check in, followed by about 10 minutes of stretching and light activity! This group aims to support your mental and physical health by providing you with an opportunity to take a step back from your responsibilities and stresses, while helping add some activity into your day.

Equity and inclusion are intrinsically connected with wellness. Equitable and inclusive workplaces support employee well-being by increasing professional achievement, job satisfaction, and better mental and physical health outcomes. Similarly, a workplace that focuses on well-being also has a documented effect of decreasing prejudice, discrimination, and harassment.

Wellness Friday: Foundations of Positive Parenting

This practical and interactive session will provide participants with the principles and tools of positive parenting focused on children’s skills in social development and well-being. Participants will also be given an opportunity to review and discuss strategies for bringing positive parenting into the home. Facilitator: Homewood Health Register on the Learning and Development website.
