Drop-in for this virtual wellness fair for employees. Guest speakers will be invited to share a 10 minute overview of their services with tips and tricks for you. The remaining 20 minutes will be open for questions from participants. Join as many of the drop-in sessions as you like. Below are the vendors who will be available to connect with you during the Virtual Wellness Fair.

When we can tap into that powerful source of energy it can have a deep, positive effect on our work relationships and successful outcomes. In this session we will explore the science behind the impact of appreciation, recognition, and gratitude, what makes it such a dynamic force and the specific ways you can integrate these energy sources into your day. Homewood Health has partnered with Occupational Health and Wellness to host this webinar. Description: Change is a fact of life, but letting go of the familiar can be challenging. When individuals understand the need for change, and are resourced to manage it, they can transition with greater ease. Participants in this session will explore strategies, frameworks, self-care tools and resources to navigate the change process successfully.

Join this edition of “Coffee Connections” to casually connect with colleagues from across U of G. This is a social chance to connect virtually with other faculty and staff to chat about a common interest: home decorating!  Share your home decorating goals, inspire one another and chat about upcoming renovations. Coffee Connections is a series running several Fridays in October, with the intention of building community connections on campus over a shared interest.

For Healthy Workplace Month, employees are invited to join the Wellness@Work “Podcast Club” (think book club, but for podcasts).  The Podcast Club will be listening to episodes from “The Happiness Lab with Dr. Laurie Santos” from Yale University. Wellness@Work invites you to a Virtual Bake Along social event on October 14 at noon via Teams. Register in advance for this session.

Taking regular breaks during the work day can help you de-stress and re-charge. Employees who are currently working at the Guelph campus as requested by their Manager or Supervisor, are invited to enjoy a free hot beverage on Oct 14 morning.  This opportunity is only available to those who are working on-campus, and those working remotely are not to come to campus for this event.  Stop by the UC Centre Six Tim Hortons or the OVC Cafeteria  between 8:30 and 11:30 a.m. for a free medium coffee, tea, or hot chocolate.
