Take Your Break: Free Hot Beverage for Night Shift Employees

Taking regular breaks during the work day can help you de-stress and re-charge. Stop by Brass Taps between 12:30 and 1:30 a.m. (Thursday night to Friday morning shift) for a beverage and enjoy some sandwiches and wraps! Bring along your colleagues. This opportunity is available for all U of G night shift employees. The Working Mind For People Managers- Part 1

Workplaces are playing a greater role in promoting positive mental health among employees. The Working Mind (TWM) is an evidence-based training developed by the Mental Health Commission of Canada designed to provide practical knowledge and skills to address mental health in the workplace.

Understanding Anxiety and Depression: Homewood Health

Mental health problems are an increasing concern in workplaces. Participants will gain an understanding of two of the most common mental health concerns, anxiety and depression. This session will provide CBT strategies for regulating one’s emotions and tips for supporting others who may be experiencing difficulties. Facilitator: Homewood Health Register through qualtrics

Campus Mile: Kick-Off to Healthy Workplace Month 2023

Staff, faculty and students are invited to celebrate the launch of Healthy Workplace Month with the sixth annual U of G Campus Mile! This year, we will be hosting the event in-person on Johsnton Green and Parking Services has generously donated an Annual Red Parking Pass that one lucky participant of the Campus Mile will win!

Art on Campus: Tour of the new fall exhibition season at the Art Gallery of Guelph

Join an informative and conversational tour of the current exhibitions on view at the Art Gallery of Guelph. Exhibitions include Kept Alive Within Us, an exhibition of work by contemporary Caribbean artists; The Third Scenario, exploring art making through hyphenated conditions that challenge the idea of identity as a fixed entity; and Pieces of a Puzzle: Selected Prints by Carl Beam, an exhibition from the AGG permanent collection.

Honey bees play a key role in agricultural productivity and ecosystem sustainability by providing pollination services to crops and wild plants. Our mandate is to help honey bees continue this vital work.

U of G on Tour: Get to know the OVC

Looking to learn more about your U of G Guelph campus? Take your break and join our tour guide, Steve Nyman, Director of Physical Resources, for a stroll by the OVC buildings. You'll learn a bit about the OVC history and architecture and see some horses and cows.  The tour will last approximately 60 minutes and be mostly outside, so please remember to dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes, and bring your water bottle as needed.
