These clinics are open to staff, faculty, students, and community members! Please note that you are required to wait 15 minutes at the clinic after your shot. The following flu shot clinics are available this semester:

Join Inuit Knowledge Keeper Tauni Sheldon as she lights the Inuit Qulliq and speaks to Inuit history through artifacts. Hear samples of Inuit music and throat singing and get interactive with Inuit artifacts such as the drum. Learn about artifacts that have been passed down since time immemorial and listen to teachings on how Inuit preserve their culture through stories Tauni will share.

Whether you work on campus or in a community organization, its increasingly challenging to meet the mental health and wellness needs of students on your own. Developing partnerships with other organizations in your community can help as you each have unique skills, resources and/or approaches that would benefit others.  However, partnerships like any relationship takes time and effort.

Nature is known to be unpredictable and unexpected, so what awaits us today?  Rachel, the Arboretum's Naturalist Intern, leads 1 hour long walks every Wednesday year-round.  Walks start at The Arboretum kiosk at 12:15 p.m.   The hike may be cancelled if there is inclement weather.   Please check the Arboretum's Facebook and Instagram page for a notice if the weekly walk is cancelled due to weather.  For further information contact Sally at scheun06@uoguelph.ca or ext. 52363. 

Classical Yoga is a particularly effective and efficient system to not only stretch, tone and develop the muscles but stimulate robust health in all systems of the body.  Regular practice can relieve stress and anxiety and promote mental concentration.

In this experiential course, leaders will learn how to engage their teams in collaborative, creative problem solving and decision making. This course is for individuals in a management position and consists of two half-day workshops. Part 2– Getting the Team Engaged and on Track Program Focus:

When stressors overwhelm us, effective techniques can help to bring us back to equilibrium. This session will explore all aspects of the stress response, focusing on practical tips and tools to bring us to optimal stress levels, thereby helping us to maximize our energy and performance. The labyrinth is available for anyone to drop-by and walk through.

As Louis Riel Day lands on a Saturday, we ask you to join us in front of the University Centre at 10:00 am the day before for short remarks and the raising of the Métis flag in recognition of Louis Riel Day. Although Louis Riel Day marks the execution of Louis Riel, commemorating one of the great tragedies in Canadian history, it is also a day to celebrate Métis culture, recognize the many contributions of the Métis to Canada, and to highlight the struggles that many Métis continue to face. 

This is an interactive workshop covering HBC & the sale of Rupert's Land, the West entering Canada, the Red River Rebellion, Riel's Exile, the Northwest Rebellion, Riel's Trial & Hanging and why we as Métis still celebrate Riel Day today. Join Métis Knowledge Keeper Alicia Hamilton as she walks you through historical moments within Métis history.
