The labyrinth is available for anyone to drop-by and walk through.

Recess League

Do you miss the good old days on the playground? We have the solution for you, Recess League runs weekly with a random sport picked each time inspired by school yard games. Recess League is a great way to have a mental wellness break in the middle of the work or school day! Examples of sports that are played in Recess League are 3-on-3 Basketball, Kickball, Nerf, Ultimate Frisbee, Scooter Dodge-ball, and so many more! There is no previous experience required. 

College Idol

Support United Way while enjoying live musical acts from the campus community. Bring together a table of eight or make new friends on campus by joining another table. Tickets are $15/each or $13/ticket for table of eight. First come, first served. Contact Stephanie Craig scraig02@uoguelph.ca for tickets. You can also participate in the costume contest! Prizes for individual and group costumes. Lunch will be vegetable lasagna with bread, salad, drinks and your choice of candy bar or chips. Gluten-free and vegan options available.

Guelph Student FoodBank Donation Drive

Drop off food donations in the UC Courtyard to support the Guelph Student FoodBank. Please bring in your dry and canned goods or grocery store gift cards to help support the local student food bank. Some of their most wanted items are:

Webinar- Teaching Practices & Student Wellbeing: It takes a village

Student wellbeing is often deemed a responsibility of student services professionals. However, evidence suggest that subtle shifts within higher education classroom contexts can create a profound impact on student wellbeing. In particular, emerging research indicates that instructors have important roles to play in fostering student wellbeing through their teaching. Such findings echo the foundational theories and the calls-to-action identified in the Okanagan Charter (2015).

Wednesday Walks at the Arboretum

Nature is known to be unpredictable and unexpected, so what awaits us today?  Rachel, the Arboretum's Naturalist Intern, leads 1 hour long walks every Wednesday year-round.  Walks start at The Arboretum kiosk at 12:15 p.m.   The hike may be cancelled if there is inclement weather.   Please check the Arboretum's Facebook and Instagram page for a notice if the weekly walk is cancelled due to weather.  For further information contact Sally at scheun06@uoguelph.ca or ext. 52363. 

Flex: Free Fitness Class

This is a muscle strength and endurance workout (no cardio component) for the whole body using a variety of equipment followed by a rejuvenating stretch.
